New Future Chapter 4

Dream:

"Naruto-kun! I'm back!" Hinata yelled, seeing Naruto in the distance. "Naruto-kun! I love you! I lov- huh?" Hinata stopped, seeing Naruto up close, she realized he wasn't alone. Haruno Sakura, Hinata's best friend, was kissing Naruto. They broke apart. "Sorry Hinata. You had your chance when you were alive." Hinata blinked back tears. "W-what?" Naruto shook his head. "I guess in a way I should thank you, you helped me realize I really did love Sakura-chan." Sakura looked at Hinata. "Hinata-chan." "No... Tell me this isn't true..."

"Hinata."

"Hinata-chan."

"TELL ME THIS ISN'T TRUE!" Hinata shouted, bolting upright. 'It was just a dream...'

"A dream you know will eventually come true." Said a dark voice.

Hinata whirled around, to see a boy about her age with jet-black hair. Hinata couldn't believe her eyes. This guy was Uchiha Sasuke! But what was he doing here?

''Sasuke-kun?" Hinata breathed out.

Sasuke smirked. "The one and only, Nata-chan." Sasuke said, using Hinata's old nickname.

It had been three years since Sasuke's death, and that barely changed him. He looked sixteen, but he died when he was thirteen. He had probably altered his appearence.

"Sasuke-kun, what are you doing here?" Hinata asked. They were in a dark place that looked like a dungeon. It had tattered red rugs and curtains, and outside it looked dark and gloomy. Sasuke was creeping out Hinata right now. He was an angel, Hinata could figure that much out. The only difference... black wings. Only Fallen and Dark Angels had black wings. Hinata eyed him suspiciously.

Sasuke walked up to her and helped her off the floor. "I'll ask again. What are you doing here?" Hinata asked, her suspicions rising. "Me? I'm here to help you. A friend of mine found you out in the rain, and brought you back here. Now, what made you go out there all alone?" Hinata hesitated. Since when was Sasuke so caring? "It was... Naruto and Sakura." Sasuke nodded. "I knew they would end up together. They're both too happy, too caring." He then changed the subject. "Hinata, do you know why you're here?" Hinata shook her head. "You're here because you've remembered your past. You don't know what happens to shinigami when they remember, do you?"

Another shake of the head. "No."

"They become ghosts, left to wander the earth's darkness. You're only escape is to become a Fallen Angel."

"Fallen...? No!" Hinata shouted, walking back.

Sasuke grabbed her arm. "Okay, but it's the only way. You can also forget Naruto and Sakura if you want." Sasuke closed his eyes and opened them again. They revealed blood red irises. Hinata's lavender eyes suddenly became distant, and the light lavender in her eyes dulled to a light grey. "Forget... Naruto-kun...Sakura-chan?"

"Yes. Come on, remember the old days, Sakura was always the strong one, the confident one, the one who could do anything. While you were the weak, unimportant third-wheel. Sakura had everything, while you had a bratty little sister and your father never had time for you. Neji, your cousin, loved you but he lived in America. And your sister, the only one who ever loved you, died and left you all alone. Think back to when Sakura was a child when you first met, she was weak and vulnerable. Don't you want the old, weak, Sakura back?" Sasuke said, hugging her. "To get the old Sakura back, the weak one, she must lose everyone she cares about, starting with Naruto. To get Sakura back, you must kill Naruto." Hinata blinked. "Kill...Naruto..." Sasuke nodded. "That's right." "Kill...Naruto...Kill..." Sasuke let Hinata go and picked up a sword off a nearby table. "Yes. Kill Naruto with this." He said, handing it to the blue-haired Hyuuga. "Kill..." Hinata smiled. "Naruto." "Yes, Nata-chan, kill..." Sasuke said, kissing her.

Sakura's POV

I had no idea what I was thinking, kissing Naruto. I knew Hina-chan liked him, yet I went ahead and kissed him anyway. What would she say if she was still here and we really did go out? Knowing Hina-chan, she would probably put on a forced smile and say "It's okay, I'm fine, really!" Or she would never talk again, avoiding me and Naruto. Hinata-chan was never confident around people. She didn't even trust Naruto and I, her best friends.

Hinata had had a painful past, her father was never around and she didn't know anything about her mom. Her sister Hanabi was evil, and her older sister Hitomi was really the only one she could talk to about anything. Her brother ran away when he was twelve, and was never found. I stood up and walked over to the park. I saw Naruto there, and went over to say hi. "Hey, Naruto." He looked up. "Hey Sakura What'cha doing?" "Just taking a walk. Hey, you wanna go to the clearing?"

The clearing was actually a part of the forest that was on a cliff facing a valley. In the distance you could see the ocean. It was home to wild flowers and animals. The only people who knew about it were myself, Naruto, and Hinata-chan. 'Hinata-chan, Wherever you are, you're watching over us, right? Naruto and I? Please, help us...'"No, I don't think I will!" My heart stopped when I heard Hinata's voice.

End POV

Naruto and Sakura looked up, to see the sun being clouded over. An eclipse. Hinata appeared, her white and blue shinigami uniform gone, replaced with a black dress that reached her mid-thigh. She had pitch-black wings, and a dark look in her eyes.

"Hinata-chan..." Naruto breathed out.

"Hinata, how..." Sakura started.

...Am I here?" Hinata finished for her. "It's simple actually. I've been watching you this entire time. It's been what, a month since my death? Heh, I was made a shinigami with no memory, told to watch over you. All it took was one little kiss and and Naruto-kun to get me to remember." The way Hinata said Naruto's name was practically dripping with venom.

"Hinata-chan..." Hinata turned. "Well... goodbye... for now." And with that said, she disappeared, and with her, so did the eclipse.

''Sayonara, Naruto-kun..."

A/N: I know this chapter was short, but still, review.

Oh, and just so you know, I'm not a writer who only writes for reviews. I write because I get inspired, write, and want to show my stories to people other than my friends. I don't write for reviews, but it's still nice to have some.

Chapter five will come out VERY soon!

Either review with your favorite Sakura couple, or I'm just going to go with SasuSaku! Then again, I had the poll, and SasuSaku's already winning...

P.S: I will not accept NaruSaku; KakaSaku; Yuri; anyone older than Sakura; or ShikaSaku
