Naruto:
Ever since the accident, both Sakura and Naruto were thrown into a deep depression. Hyuuga Hinata, their best friend, was dead, gone, out of their lives forever. Although, out of the two, Naruto took the loss the hardest. Although he never admitted it, he had fallen in love with the blue-haired Hyuuga. He wasn't sure when he had developed a crush for the deceased Hyuuga girl. He thought back to when they met... eleven years ago... He could remember it like it was yesterday.
Flashback:
A five-year-old Hinata was seen, skipping rocks across a pond, her sister Hyuuga Hitomi perched on the branch of a tree.
Nearby:
"Oi! Okaachan! I'm going to the pond okay?" A young Naruto shouted, bouncing up and down. Kushina smiled at her son. He reminded her so much of herself when she was younger. "Okay, Naru-chan. But be careful." Then, nine-year old Lu Namikaze walked up, hands on her hips. ''Okaasan! Shouldn't I watch Naruto? After all, he is only a kid, and I-" the redhead was cut off by Kushina. "Lu-chan, that's nice of you, but don't you want to play with Tsuki-chan, Rei-chan, and Hitomi-chan?" Lu opened her mouth to complain, but stopped when she saw her friends Tsuki and Rei waving to her. She shook her head. "Never mind!" She shouted, running to her friends. Kushina sighed. "Okay, Naru-chan..." Kushina trailed off when she couldn't see him. He had already run off to the pond.
With Hinata:
Hitomi spotted her three friends waving to her. The purple-eyed girl smiled. "Hina-chan, I'm gonna go see the others, you stay here, Okay?" Hinata nodded and let out a small "Hai". As soon as Hitomi was out of sight, Hinata started to jump on the stepping-stones the pond provided. Just then, Naruto ran up to the side of the pond where Hinata was. He saw her and shouted a big "Hello!" Hinata lost her footing, and slipped into the water. Naruto acted quickly, and pulled Hinata out of the pond. Hinata tried to catch her breath. Panting, she said smally, "Arigatou." Naruto grinned, happy she was okay. "No Problem! My name's Naruto, what's yours?" Hinata blushed. "H-Hinata. Hyuuga Hinata.''
Flashback Over
'We became such good friends after that. She was so shy... Then we met Sakura-chan. I chased Sakura throughout almost all of elementary and middle school... Then, at graduation, something changed... I relized I loved Hyuuga Hinata. But now she's gone... and I'll regret not telling her for the rest of my life..." Naruto thought gloomily. Then, he did something he hadn't done since he found out about his sister's death in a plane crash (Note: Rei is not dead, Lu died on the same plane that killed Hitomi, and Tsuki killed herself.): He cried.
"Hinata-chan..."
Sakura was doing just as bad. She always had a friend in Hinata. Sakura, like Naruto, was also reminesing about her meeting with the dark-haired girl. She cried remembering the day. (Note: Remember when Ino and Sakura met in the show? Well I used that scene, but switched Ino with Hinata. I also made some minor changes.)
Flashback
A six-year-old Haruno Sakura sat alone in the park, crying. For almost her entire life, she had been made fun of because of her unatural pink hair and large forehead. Suddenly, a gentle finger poked her forehead. Sakura's seafoam green eyes snapped open. "Huh? Who are you?" Hinata smiled warmly. "My name's Hyuuga Hinata! Why're you crying?" Sakura sniffed. "Some girls were making fun of my hair and forehead." Hinata nodded. "Well, It is unusual." Sakura looked at Hinata. "Nani?" Hinata suddenly put her hands up. "No! I wasn't saying it was bad, but pink hair is unusual. Acctually, it's kind of unique. I'm a little jealous, to be honest. Sometimes, I even wish I had green hair! As for your forehead, it's just gonna look bigger if you hide it! Try this." Hinata said, handing Sakura a green ribbon. Sakura tied it in her hair, and the it held the illusion that her forehead was smaller. "Arigatou!" Hinata smiled. "What's your name?" Sakura blinked, relizing she never said her name. "Gomenasai! How rude of me! I'm Haruno Sakura!" The two giggled.
Flashback Over
Sakura looked at the tattered, green ribbon in her hand, and sobbed into her pillow.
With Hinata:
Hinata walked through the crowded streets of Konoha City, looking at her scroll every so often, looking for the handsome face of 16 year old Uzumaki Naruto, and Haruno Sakura. They would apparently die 2 weeks apart. Sakura from an illness she would recieve early next winter, and Naruto would commit suicide, two weeks after Sakura's death. Hinata spotted Uzumaki Naruto outside of his house, playing with a kunai knife. Hinata panicked, and suddenly transformed into a small black fox. "N-nani? Hitomi-chan! What's going on!" Hitomi's voice appeared in her thoughts. "Hikaru-chan, you're still new at this, and it's still close to your death date. It's only natural your powers are gonna be out of whack for a few days. In the meantime, when you're in animal form, people can see you. You can use this to your advantage." Hinata walked up to Naruto, and nudged his leg.
A/N: SECOND CHAPTER IS DONE!
Okay, I'll try as hard I can to get this done. I'm sorry it was so short, I just wanted you guys to see how Naruto and Sakura were dealing with all of this. The next chapter will be out soon, I promise!
